Stuart was recommended to us by the hotel where we married … of which we are extremely thankful! Planning a wedding over 300 miles away from home caused some stress, but Stuart responded straight away to emails and phone calls, helping, not only with the photography, but with the smooth running of the whole day – he certainly helped to keep the nerves at bay. When speaking to Stuart before the wedding, he listened carefully to all of our requests and ideas (which were quite unusual as we had a very intimate wedding with only two guests) and we really felt that he understood what we wanted. It was a great pleasure to meet Stuart at our pre-wedding photo shoot one wet and cold February afternoon! Despite the dreich weather (and our nerves) we had a great time and he put us totally at ease. Our wedding day was amazing and so perfect. Stuart was great company and was a very welcome additional guest! At times, particularly during the ceremony, we didn’t even realise he was there, clicking away in the background. He had wonderful ideas for our photos and as a result we have a unique and breathtakingly beautiful album which takes us through our special day and encapsulates the emotions we all felt. Stuart is truly amazing: he goes above and beyond; is friendly and professional; and is always looking for that perfect shot. We cannot recommend him enough.

Stuart is an incredibly talented photographer – passionate and a perfectionist and it comes through in his photos. The quality of the photos that Stuart provided for our wedding is just amazing – from the lighting and perspective, to the thoughtful message that each picture presents. Stuart and his lovely wife, put in so much effort in delivering a fantastic product not only on the day of our wedding, but he included a few trips to the venue beforehand to ensure he got to know the venue and that certainly came through in the photos. Stuart is also very pleasant to work with – when we first met (having spoken to other photographers), what immediately stood out was Stuart’s friendliness, being prepared for our meeting with samples of albums and examples of previous work he had done, clearly superior image quality and the fact that he clearly enjoys what he is doing. All these factors for me were very important and the end result was the most beautiful wedding pictures that we could have asked for. I was planning our wedding remotely – we were living in London at the time of meeting and moved back to the USA shortly before the wedding, Stuart was also great at helping think of good ideas for photographs and throughout my journey of wedding planning, it certainly helped knowing that our wedding photo’s were in good hands. On our wedding day, Stuart and his wife made a point of being professional, yet capturing each shot thoughtfully and ensuring that our guests had some fun too! Looking back at the photos, one realises that over time wedding memories fade, the day goes by so quickly and I could not be happier and more grateful to Stuart and his wife for providing us with an incredibly beautiful memory evidenced in flawless wedding pictures! Having met Stuart at a wedding fair on a wet and windy Sunday afternoon, it was safe to say, he brightened up our day (pardon the pun!). Stuart offered us an informal engagement shoot in a local “Orry” where we live(free of charge!). It was a daunting thought, but Stuart made us both feel at ease and we loved the natural pictures he took and the lovely ideas he had for shots. Stuart stayed in touch throughout the lead up to our wedding and made sure we all knew exactly where each other would be and when. This made the wedding morning a much more pleasant experience! On the morning of our wedding, Stuart and his lovely assistant and wife, Lanny arrived to capture the moments of us girls being beautified. They were very much in the background taking pictures, but at the same time, interacted beautifully with myself, my bridesmaids, my mum and the owners of the B&B where we were staying. Throughout our wedding day, Stuart and Lanny worked in unison with our videographer, making us feel as though we weren’t even being photographed at all! We have some beautiful “pose” shots, but the majority of our pictures are perfectly captured moments of our day. The individual prints we have ordered really are a work of art! I feel speechless about our album at the moment, having only received it today. It is absolutely out of this world and we couldn’t be any happier with the story that has been told throughout the album. I am so excited about it and the memories of the day have come flooding back. I cannot wait to share the album with friends and family and feel this review does not do the album justice at all! We can’t thank Stuart and his lovely assistant, Lanny, enough for capturing our big day in such a special way. Memories to last a lifetime. Thank you both.

Stuart is such a fantastic photographer. His photography not only captured the happy moments of our big day, it was stylish and full of stories. Our venue was all candle lit without natural lights, which presented great challenge to any photographer. We were so impressed how Stuart cleverly utilised the lights and tools available, and took amazing photos. At the wedding, day Stuart was very helpful and kept us all relaxed. After researching a number of photographers, we were recommended Bound by Light and were immediately impressed by Stuart’s knowledge and enthusiasm. From our initial discussions and informal meeting through to a pre wedding shoot, Stuart made us feel at ease and offered loads of ideas for unique photograph opportunities. I first met Stuart at a wedding fayre and until the day I booked Bound By Light, I kept thinking about his passion and unique personality knowing it was perfect for our wedding day. Stuart is a unique kinda guy, he is extremely knowledgable and professional yet extremely fun and interactive. In the lead up to the wedding day Stuart provided what seemed like the extra mile in terms of service; he asked questions about the day which became crucial guidance and direction for the organisation of the day and of other suppliers I was using. He was definitely our stand out supplier. On the actual wedding day Stuart and Lanny arrived prompt and got straight into action. Their arrival changed the almost panic atmosphere into a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. I have to mention that Bound By Light were a major hit with our flower girls and they even managed to keep them entertained as the morning passed by. The formal photographs were everything I asked for.. Relaxed and natural shots of the day unfolding. With a few posey ones too. Absolutely fantastic company/team. Again it was all very organised and although we lost time earlier in the day Stuart managed to get all the photographs taken in time for dinner.

Stuart was a fantastic wedding photographer for us. Right from the start he was helpful: he ensured we got to know each other before the ceremony, so that on the special day we felt completely relaxed with him and could concentrate on enjoying the day. He didn’t just help with photography, he helped us plan our whole day; with his experience of many previous weddings, he was able to help us fix our schedule and know how much time to leave for each section. The album he produced was phenomenal — we always enjoying showing off the album to visitors. Noone has ever seen anything like it! We had a family photo shoot with Stuart and he was so very professional. We had 7 children with is and 6 are under 6 so it probably wasn’t his easiest of jobs but he was so relaxed and just went with the flow and created some stunning photos.
